About Pastor Gabe
Pastor Gabe has been at Sovereign Grace since January 2015, and began serving as a pastor in January 2017. He is married to his beautiful wife Christa (since 2004), and together with his lovely bride has four children, Titus, Lincoln, John, and Elizabeth.
Ministry responsibilities include filling the pulpit bi-monthly and as needed, leading the youth ministry, and teaching regularly in both Family Discipleship and home group capacity. He has also helped teach summer mid-week series and has filled pulpits as a guest preacher for sister churches in the valley. He is also responsible for the churches administrative needs.
Education background includes a BA in Biblical/Theological Studies from Multnomah University (Portland, OR), and a Master of Theological Studies in Historical Theology from Reformed Baptist Seminary (Sacramento, CA).
Pastor Gabe enjoys his family time, playing a growing number of board games, enjoying his wife’s delicious food, hiking, playing and coaching baseball, ska and jazz (he played trumpet once upon a time), the German language, and procuring more books written by old dead theologians than he will likely ever finish reading.
Prayer for the Community
Pastor Gabe loves apologetics and has a passion particularly for those deceived by “Christian” cults. He hopes the ministry of SGF will help to equip its members to minister to (especially) the LDS and JW communities in Idaho.
“If sinners be damned, at least let them leap to Hell over our dead bodies. And if they perish, let them perish with our arms wrapped about their knees, imploring them to stay. If Hell must be filled, let it be filled in the teeth of our exertions, and let not one go unwarned and unprayed for.”
Charles Haddon Spurgeon
