ABOUT PASTOR MATT

Hello, thank you for your interest in Sovereign Grace Fellowship. My name is Matt Masiewicz and I would like to tell you a little bit about myself. My family is one of the refugees from California. We have been here in Idaho since 2006 and absolutely love Nampa and this great state. I am married to the love of my life named Andrea (Andie) with whom we have 6 kids and 3 grandkids. We have been attending here since 2008 and have I have been pastoring here since 2012. In 2020 I was installed as the senior pastor. It has been and continues to be such a pleasure and a privilege for me to love, serve, and proclaim the gospel of Christ to the flock here at SGF. This is a place where God’s Word is honored and proclaimed, where people are loved and instructed, where the Lord is worshipped in Spirit and in truth. This church is my family, a loving and warm family that seeks and serves Jesus Christ. God is doing a wonderful work here and it is such a blessing to be a part of it.
I would love to invite you to join us for worship this Sunday and would be happy to answer any questions that you may have about Sovereign Grace Fellowship. It is my prayer that God plants you in your very own church family and that you will flourish where planted. I will rejoice if it is with us.

Favorite Books?
The Bible is always #1, theology books- lot’s of them, anything about or by C.H Spurgeon (I have a very old signed copy). My wife always tells me I need to read more fiction, but isn’t truth better than fiction?

Favorite Places to hang out in Nampa?
I love the small downtown restaurants and gathering places here in Nampa.

Favorite Places to Visit?
My hometown of Huntington Beach CA now and then, the Idaho backcountry, McCall, Sandpoint.

Favorite hobbies/interests outside of work?
Family time, Backpacking when time allows, Collecting Watches, Science fiction and super hero movies with my kids, trying new restaurants with my wife, treasure hunting at garage sales and thrift stores (also with my wife), hanging out with the guys from church discussing the finer points of theology or arguing who would win in a fight, Batman or Ironman?
